If, like me, you missed last summer's Wilco concert on the Maine State Pier in Portland because you didn't get tickets on time, here's a heads up. The two headline acts for this summer's Pier Review benefit for Preble Street have been announced. Alt rock band Ween will play on Friday, July 16 and tickets are now on sale. DJ duo Thievery Corporation will play on Saturday, July 17 and tickets go on sale today at 10 am. If you really need a Wilco fix, there is an amazing (but not quite local) three day event this summer at MassMOCA in North Adams called Wilco Solid Sound Festival which includes Portland based indie-rockers Brenda.
