Job Artist (painter) / 209 State Street
Lives In State/Congress
My american parents were living in Nova Scotia when I was born in 1979 . We moved to Boone, North Carolina, that’s where I grew up, in the beautiful Appalachain mountains. I have a brother and a sister. My parents had many artist friends. Also we did not have a televisión until I was a teenager so I drew alot of stuff. My mom is a public televisión personality/photographer in Portland, Maine. My dad is a Geology Professor at Appalachain State University. They are divorced. I attended the University of North Carolina (Wilmington / Charlotte) earning a Bachelors degree in Studio art. I joined the army in 2004 as a medic. Maybe I wanted to see what it was like. It was pretty good. It was good exercise. I did some 8.5 x 11 on paper during that time. After that I had a bunch of money so I paid off my college loans and moved to San Juan, Puerto Rico, where I chased a chicken off of a roof one time. I painted more 8.5 x 11 paintings and hung out on the beach. Six months of this was all I could handle. So, I went to Canada and did lots of strange jobs through the W.W.O.O.F. organization (sunburn, cats, worms, whales, trees, cow shit). After that I wanted to find a way to make a living as an artist. I have since been doing that. I currently live between Madrid Spain and Portland Maine.
I teach story writing throughout Greater Portland and connect published authors with student writers.
I inform, inspire and influence in support of my community, with a special soft spot for the arts.
