I help high-acheiving parents and families get a life that FEELS as good as it LOOKS.

Job Phoenix Rising yoga therapy family practitioner / Tranquility in Balance Center for Wellness

Lives In Westbrook

I grew up in a stable home, went to good schools, was a high achieving student throughout my academic career, got a responsible job, secure marriage, three children, pets, plants, and reused and recycled everything, including ziploc plastic bags.  At 35, I was 75 pounds overweight, my knees hurt going up the stairs (which I avoided), my marriage was on the brink of divorce, my job was just a job, and I thought, “Wow, this is it.  It only goes downhill from here.”

At 45, I have let go of 85 pounds on my body, I am in the best shape of my ENTIRE life, my marriage (the same one!) couldn’t be better, I have fulfilling profitable work I love, and everyday my life FEELS as good as it LOOKS.

It all started with really getting to know myself, my WHOLE self: body, mind, and spirit.  Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy is an integration of bodywork and confidently guided dialogue.  It continues where massage, and talk therapy can’t go, to get to the root of who you really are.

I am a certified Phoenix Rising Yoga therapist with over 20 years experience working with parents and children in a variety of areas.  I bring wisdom, intelligence, and deep compassion to my practice..

What do you like to do with out-of-towners? We always take out-of-towners to our beautiful rocky coast, apple-picking in the fall, eating lobsters on a dock in the summer, and hiking any time of the year.

What's the most surprising thing about this city? How absolutely cool everybody is here. There just isn't enough time to cultivate all the friendships I would love to cultivate. It fills me with glee to know how many extraordinary people there are in this community.

What's your favorite indulgence and where do you find it? Anything at the Farmer's market in Deering Oaks.

Do you have a serendipity spot? Where do you always bump into good people? Breakwater School and Whole Foods Market
