When you are in Chronic Pain you can find Peace

Job Photographer

Lives In Portland/Deering

I want to show how I see the world through my lens, paint brush or sculptures. Living with chronic pain has taught me patience, and how to find beauty and happiness in the smallest of places or creatures I encounter. My hope is that others living with pain can find peace.

Why did you choose Portland? I was dropped off on the side of the road the day after Christmas 4 years ago, with one pair of pants and everything I could carry in one bag from a former boyfriend up north.

Who are Portlanders you admire and why? The many immigrants that try to make a new life without fear but leave everything they had known or owned behind.

What do you like to do with out-of-towners? Show them the many architectural and historical sites, relax in Evergreen Cemetery Park or take them over the million dollar bridge to South Portland.

Where's your "happy place" on the peninsula? Any where under one of it's many tree's.

What's the most surprising thing about this city? The warmth of the people who live here, no matter what their social position is.

What's your favorite indulgence and where do you find it? Haven's Candies on Forest Ave

What's the most under-appreciated place or thing in town? The trail that runs by Mercy at the Fore along the Fore River.

Describe your perfect night—and the following morning—in Portland. Watching the sunset on the Promanade and the sunrise over the Bay

Do you have a serendipity spot? Where do you always bump into good people? There are many great people here in Portland, from all walks of life.
