Job Director of marketing / Maine College of Art
Lives In West End
As a Maine native, I grew up with an immense appreciation of this great State. I've been fortunate to travel around the World and can say with confidence that there really is no place like home.
I graduated from Clark University and currently work as director of marketing & communications at Maine College of Art. I love my job and feel blessed to work with such brilliantly talented creative folks in an environment that promotes non-traditional values (ie. quality of LIFE!)
I love playing music, dining out, and soaking in the exceptional cultural arts scene here in Portland.
I enjoy the fact that I can walk to work and get virtually anywhere in the city within 10 minutes. As an appreciator of good beer and food, Portland really does have it all. I'm also continuously impressed with the caliber of live music that swings through here on a regular basis.
Why did you choose Portland? Because it's got all the charm and amenities of a big city with more space, open air, and opportunity.
Who are Portlanders you admire and why? Bob Ludwig (Owner of Gateway Mastering) Why? Because he is a great example of how you can really do anything you want here…without big city cost of living and congestion.
What do you like to do with out-of-towners? + Brag about how great Portland is while rattling off our countless accolades + Peaks Island + Dining out + Walking along the Promenade (East or West) + Art Walk + Go see a concert/lecture/performance at one of the many venues in town
Where's your "happy place" on the peninsula? Jogging around the Back Cove and along the Narrow Gauge Railroad.
What's the most surprising thing about this city? + Countless incredible restaurant options + Thriving arts scene + How many like-minded individuals there are who live here
What's your favorite indulgence and where do you find it? Dining Out: + East Ender + Caiolas + Yosaku + Pei Men Myake (and Myake Diner) + Micucci's + BRUNCH AT HOT SUPPA
