Why did you choose Portland? My roots are here, but there is also unique charm to Portland I haven't been able to find anywhere else. The size is perfect: I am able to access all the lovely opportunities available in an urban environment while also being able to escape to lush, beautiful landscapes in the blink of an eye. Additionally, there is a strong, supportive sense of community present in Portland that is inspiring and empowering. This place is truly a hidden gem.

What do you like to do with out-of-towners? One of my greatest pleasures is having guests from out of state. There is always so much to see and do. I seize the opportunity to go up the coast and visit all of my favorite stops. I love to try and do some hiking and camping, if possible.

Where's your "happy place" on the peninsula? A picnic on the Eastern Prom, hands down.

What's your favorite indulgence and where do you find it? Dinner and a fabulous sauv blanc at Drifter's Wife.

What's the most under-appreciated place or thing in town? Watching the sunset on the Western Prom.

Do you have a serendipity spot? Where do you always bump into good people? SPACE Gallery!
